Fred has recently contacted me by email and in his own words he states:
“I was involved in accident. I have been very ill thence, I have serous injuries and going through medication”

Well, 2011 is drawing to a close, so now is a good time to recap what has been achieved this year with all the wonderful support from various sponsors.
The highlight this year has to be the 2011 Daniel Fast back in January. This was a wonderful time when the children who have very little to eat each day were joined by a few of the Epsom Christian Fellowship congregation. It was quite an eye opener for me to not be allowed to help myself to my favourite foods whenever I wanted them. What a lot we take for granted.
There were sponsorers in both the UK and in Australia and as a result we were able to send £920 and then another $500 too! What an amazing impact this had on the children.
This year also saw the expansion of Lending to the Lord for children in other parts of the world, not just Kenya. A new page has been set up for each area, be sure to check them out.
I now find myself in the middle of great poverty and need in India, so maybe this as we wave goodbye to 2011 and look towards 2012, there may be another group of children where we can put a smile on their faces.
